Kobe Bryant finishes his winning dunk with authority.
|
Kid's stuff
Whatever the requirements for becoming a slam-dunk champion, apparently playing college basketball isn't one of them. Kobe Bryant, who jumped right from the high school courts of Philadelphia to the NBA, proved he can jump just fine by winning the dunk contest Saturday night. On his first attempt of the final round, Bryant took the ball between his legs, went up for a powerful one-handed slam and then did plenty of barking about his accomplishment. The result? A score of 49 from the judges and a shiny trophy for the 18-year-old.
