CLEVELAND -- Chicago's Michael Jordan has tormented all of his NBA opponents, but none more so than the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That's why Thursday was so refreshing for Cavs fans. Jordan, their perennial tormentor, missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer as Cleveland took a 73-70 victory over the Bulls.

Here are some highlights Jordan's career versus the Cavs:

May 8, 1988: Jordan scores 39 points as Chicago advances to the second round of the playoffs with a 107-101 victory over Cleveland. Jordan averages 45.2 points per game, a new playoff record for a five-game series.

May 7, 1989: Craig Ehlo beats Jordan for a layup with three seconds remaining, giving Cleveland a one-point lead in the fifth and deciding game of a first-round playoff series. Jordan answers with a 16-foot buzzer-beater over Ehlo, giving Chicago a 101-100 victory. Jordan finishes with 44 points, and his fist-pumping celebration becomes forever ingrained in the minds of Cavs fans.

March 28, 1990: Jordan scores a career-high 69 points and grabs 18 rebounds as the Bulls take a 117-113 overtime victory over the Cavs. Jordan ends up playing 50 minutes, shooting 23 for 37 from the field and making 21 of 23 free throws.

May 29, 1992: Jordan and the Bulls clinch their second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals, beating Cleveland 99-94 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals.

May 17, 1993: Jordan hits an 18-footer at the buzzer as the Bulls advance to the Eastern Conference finals with a 103-101 victory over the Cavs.
