Why Chicago will win
"The Bulls have so much experience. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, and Parish all know what it takes to win an NBA title. Many of the Hawks players have never been this far into the playoffs before. Besides the Bulls bench is way too deep."
-- Brian Parlato, Escanaba, Mich.
"There is no better player yet in the world than Michael Jordan. He is the only player in this league who can single-handedly beat any team."
-- Asit Govil, Edison, N.J.
"Mookie Blaylock does not present the same type of matchup problems that Rod Strickland or Damon Stoudamire would. Lately, the Bulls have struggled with quick point guards who penetrate - this does not seem to be Blaylock's style. Finally, the Bulls' mental toughness is generally good for two games in a seven-game series."
-- Chip Miller, LaVale, Md.
Why Atlanta will win
"The Hawks have a very good chance to win over the Bulls because of their defense and because of the presence of Dikembi down low."
-- Wesley Nix, Lanett , Ala.
"Jordan has done the cardinal sin..."guaranteed victory." The Hawks played them tough three of four this year and Mookie is itching to get involved in the game again. Detroit offset Mookie by using Grant Hill as point forward. When the guards were bringing the ball up, Mookie got steals and got involved in the offense. Toni and Dennis are not ready yet, and Rodman's antics (when Mutombo blocks a couple of shots) will not be tolerated by the referees. I say Atlanta in six games because of Chicago's attitude problems."
-- WDJ, Dallas, Texas
"Christian Laettner is the one player in the league who can bait Rodman into doing something stupid. Rodman will be tossed out of three games, minimum. The Atlanta guards will shoot lights-out from 3, and Mount Mutombo will swat Jordan when the Hawks' defense forces him into the lane. I like Atlanta in seven, with Rodman suspended for Games 6 and 7!"
-- Santosh Venkataraman, Washington, D.C.
