Why Chicago will win

"Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippin, and Dennis Rodman. Need I say more?"

    -- Brad Ruey, Winnetka, Ill.

"Miracle happens once a year ... and the Bullets had theirs by making the playoffs."

    -- David Margono, Blacksburg, Va.

"The Bulls are possibly the best team ever. The Bullets do not have anyone than can stop both Jordan and Pippen when they both are out there. Washington does have an advantage with Webber and Howard, but when the Bulls have the best player ever, the best overall player, and the best rebounder in the game, there is no stopping them."

    -- Chris Card, Erie, Penn.

Why Washington will win

"The Bullets match up well with the Bulls, and have been playing as well as anyone in the league lately. With injuries to Toni Kukoc and Dennis Rodman, the Bulls are thin up front, where the Bullets are strongest. Also, the Bulls lack a true point guard like Rod Strickland. They are not as strong a team as they were last year. The Bullets are hungry and, aside from Jordan, the Bulls may not be fully focused for the first round."

-- Thomas J. de Planque, Gainesville, Fla.

"The Bullets match up very well against the Bulls, better than many other Eastern Conference teams. In fact, they have outscored the Bulls in their series this year by about six points overall."

    -- Dave Ludwig, Washington, D.C.

"For one thing the Bullets are young, and I have seen them play the Bulls. They are able to beat the Bulls as long as Calbert Cheaney has a good game. Let Jordan get his 30, and they can shut down everyone else. The Bullets are bigger and stronger inside with Chris Webber."

    -- Scott McKinley, Muncie, Ind.
