Los Angeles Lakers youngster Kobe Bryant set a rookie-game record with 31 points Saturday. Bryant's West team lost, however, dropping a 96-91 decision to the East squad, led by Allen Iverson and Marcus Camby.
Iverson, who finished with 19 points and a game-high nine assists, was named MVP -- largely on the basis that his team won the game. Bryant also had a team-high eight rebounds for the West and sank 13 of 16 free throws.
